Campus & Facilities

Canberra Campus

The Canberra Campus serves a dual role of administering the operation of Unity College Australia nationally as well as providing the hub for Canberra training activities.  The Canberra Campus moved to a new venue in July 2012, and is now located in the Belconnen Town Centre, in the north of Canberra. The venue is situated in the middle of the Belconnen Bus Interchange, adjacent to the Westfield Shopping Centre, and is easily accessed by public transport.

The Belconnen venue includes training rooms, staff offices, music studios, a library, student common and study areas and an auditorium on 2 levels of the Belconnen Churches Centre. This new venue provides the college with increased training space as well as specialised facilities for music and creative arts.
Established in 1995, the Canberra Campus' first venue was located in the embassy suburb of Yarralumla. In 2004 the campus moved to the Woden area and in 2008 established its first independent training site in Dundas Court, Phillip.

Local Accommodation

At Unity we recognise that it is not always easy to find a place to live when you first relocate from interstate or overseas. That is why we are happy to provide help in locating accommodation.
There are a number of different options including:

  • - Shared rental accommodation
  • - Boarding with a family
  • - Hostels and Private Hotels

Through our local connections and church communities we can help you find appropriate short-term accommodation on your arrival. This would typically be for up to a month while you look for long-term accommodation. This will involve a weekly board payment to cover accommodation and food for your stay.
Assistance with finding accommodation requires payment of an Accommodation Search Fee at least 28 days prior to your intended arrival. This non-refundable fee covers:

  • - Provision of contact information for short-term accommodation options such as boarding in a private home and low-cost hostels;
  • - Provision of contact information for real estate agents for rental properties.

Although we will assist you in your search for appropriate short-term accommodation in the above ways, we can not guarantee this will be available.
The college's accommodation register may also include contacts offering longer-term accommodation (eg boarding with a family). You are responsible for organising and covering costs associated with locating and moving into longer-term accommodation.
